With support from AgriFI, Lake View Fisheries is working to integrate over 1,000 smallholder farmers into an outgrower scheme involving guaranteed market access and access to extension support, high-quality inputs and credit. Through this case study the Imani Development team explores the challenges and achievements of the project, highlighting the significant nutrition impact potential of increased fingerling production. This could help feed 259,000 people an annual average of 10 kg of fish per person, which is half the average global fish consumption per capita rate, but more than double the current fish consumption in Kenya.
